Christmas is a wonderful moment to spend time with family and friends. Be respectful and happy. Give your help to your friends, family members, ONG or any person who may need it.
You do know that not all people in the world celebrate Christmas. People from other cultures celebrate other festivities such as Hannukah (Judes); Rammadan (Islamic); etc.
We will talk about this in class. You can also have a look by yourself clicking on this link:

As you know, on December 31st , a new year comes. This is the last day of the Gregorian calendar, the day before New Year's Day, and it is called "New Year's Eve".

Because of the division of the globe into time zones, the new year moves progressively around the globe as the start of the day ushers in the New Year.
Many cities and countries across the world, celebrate Christmas
with fireworks.

But not all countries and cultures celebrate the New Year's Eve the same day.

For example, the first day of the Islamic New year is observed on

the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar.
